Various methods of rubber to metal bonding are available from using cured rubber (Which has already completed its manufacturing process) applied to steel/metal using a self vulcanising cement known as a "Cold Bond".
Alternatively uncured rubber can be applied to steel/metal and cured as one in an Autoclave, using different primers/adhesives; typically used for high tech applications where a degree of forming is required. Both applications product superior bond strength. Many grades of rubber are available offering excellent chemical and wear resistance.
